Cytek Northern Lights Flow Cytometer

Overview
Flow cytometry is an indispensable tool for single cell analysis in various diagnostic contexts and a wide range of biological processes. Recent technological advances have allowed the use of multiple lasers and an increasing number of fluorochromes that can be used, thus increasing the number of parameters that can be detected on a single cell. A full-spectrum flow cytometer with 3 lasers (488nm, 638nm & 405nm) and the capacity to detected up to 36 fluorochromes simultaneously is installed at the flow cytometry facility of INAB|CERTH allowing for high-quality research.
Main Features
- 3 laser sources that emit in the blue, red and violet region of the visible spectrum
- Process up to 38 parameters simultaneously including FSC and SSC
- The maximum resolution speed should be at least 20,000 events per second facilitating the analysis of rare cell populations
- Ability for detection of particles above 100 nm in size (e.g. exosomes, microparticles)
- Automatic correction of fluorescence compensation
- Ability to automatically remove cellular autofluorescence
- Ability to use SSC from blue and violet lasers
